Genesis Journey is for young people in 4th - 8th grades. We meet during the Sunday Morning 10:30 service every other week when the younger children are dismissed. In 2010 we went through a study called "Wholly Holy" about the theology and practice of sanctification. In the Fall of 2010 the Genesis Journey kids participated in the "Genesis Journey Fall Challenge" where they could get points for attendance, Bible memory and service projects. We were thrilled to see how well some of them did and exited to see all of the Scripture that they memorized! In the Spring of 2011, we studied Philippians, and got a better sense for how to integrate the virtues of our faith, like humility and unity, into our daily walk. Genesis Journey kids, leaders and parents have participated in some meaningful service projects, including serving at a homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta, and raking leaves at the homes of those who needed a bit of extra help. We also like to have fun! We have done camp outs, bowling nights, laser tag, and Wii evenings. The Genesis Journey Leaders include Joe Crum, Amy Balogh, and Karyn Whigham. We are delighted at the opportunity to partner with the Genesis Journey parents to help these young people understand God's will for their life. ![]() |
