Does it matter whether Adam and
Eve were real people or can we view them as just symbolic? Are the first 11
chapters of Genesis literally and historically true? Does modern society
require a larger initial DNA pool?
Hear a biblical presentation by Dr. Dennis Mock followed by a panel discussion
with a Q&A, focusing on the biblical and theological implications of the
issues as they relate to the authenticity and reliability of Scripture and the
ongoing debate concerning evolution vs. creationism.

In July 2011 we travelled back in time five hundred years to medieval Europe... a time of knights, castles and damsels. "Knights of God" was held Monday - Friday, July 11 - 15, from 9:30 to Noon! We discussed the Knights Code based on the Ephesians 6 passage explaining the armor of God, and enjoyed a whole host of medieval games, crafts and foods. Fifty-eight squires and damsels in grades 1 - 8 participated.

The focus of our Sunday morning sermons for 2011 at Genesis will be on leaders
and prophets who were used by God to further His work on earth in the Old
Testament.
We will study men like Samuel, Saul, David, Solomon, Elijah, Elisha, Hezekiah,
Josiah, Isaiah and Ezekiel and a host of people with whom they interacted.
We will be looking to discern who they were, how God used them, what we can
learn from them and their contributions, both good and bad.
The reality is that human history is about God accomplishing His Will on earth
through people, including the likes of you and me. It should be both a
fascinating and enlightening study. "Studies in Israel's Major Kings and Prophets" begins Sunday, January 2, 2011, during the 10:30 AM service. |
